Tempeh provides an abundance of health. Benefits include more folate, vitamin K, calcium, magnesium, iron and fiber while replacing meat and dairy with tempeh and other soy products it does also lower cholesterol and saturated fat intake. These nutritional changes can lower the risk of several chronic illnesses, including cardiovascular diseases.
So give it a try and experiment with it. Tempeh is harder in consistency than pressed tofu and can be prepared in a variety of ways. I like to combine sweet and savory and add it to whole grains and lots of green vegetables.
Here I combined the Stir Fry over Quinoa and green string beans. Mouthwatering delicious even when served to the most hardcore carnivore.
Ingredients: Evoo, Ginger, Onion, Garlic, Parsley root, Nut butter, Miso Tamari, Fig Butter, organic Tempeh, red pepper flakes & ground cumin.
